Serial entrepreneur Mario Cruz hosts an annual Noche Buena (Christmas Eve) pig roast for friends and family. On Noche Buena in 2015, his son Kevin wanted to add more heat to their meal. A traditional Cuban pork roast uses a marinade known as mojo which usually contains sour orange, garlic, and other spices. Kevin believed they could use their family’s mojo recipe as a base for a killer hot sauce. So that same day, while the pig cooked in the caja china, the duo began cooking up what would be the first unofficial batch of Bárabro Mojo Cuban Hot Sauce. They poured the first batch into an empty soda bottle for anyone who wanted to eat spicy pork!

BEST DAY EVER from BARBARO MOJO.. When you first open the bottle you get a wonderful aroma of garlic, onion and hot peppers. The flavor of this sauce is balanced so wonderfully to give your food a nice punch of heat and a well balanced flavor of savory spices and vegetables. Tomato, onion, a splash of vinegar, yellow bell pepper, a little freshness from Orange and lemon juice. Then you will also get the flavor and heat coming from Habanero and a little Carolina reaper pepper. You will also find just a hint of mango that also gives this sauce a nice creamy texture. This is another great table sauce because of its wide range of use on all different type of foods. Fantastic job!
