Rodney and Kim Goss are the parents of three kids, three dogs, three chickens, and a hot-sauce company. The central Illinois couple started Hot Sauce by Goss in their kitchen, experimenting with a variety of concoctions from their own garden-grown vegetables, but the fumes eventually drove the cooking outdoors with the rest of their hobbies.
Even though the business has outgrown the Goss house, all Hot Sauce by Goss products are still prepared (or cooked?) and bottled here in the United States and hand-delivered to stores between fishing, hunting, and hot-sauce events!

COLON PLOW from GOSS HOT SAUCE. Is it a hot sauce or a salsa? This is one of the most versatile hot sauces I’ve had. I've used this on chicken as a marinade, as a topping, a cocktail sauce for shrimp and just straight out of the jar on tortilla chips. The flavor is that good. It's sweet, hot and just the right amount of flavor from the ingredients. It has jalapeño, red pepper, cider vinegar, habanero, garlic, cayenne and a sweetness from carrot, sugar and corn syrup. If you have read many of my reviews you know how I love hot wings, and this sauce makes some amazing grilled wings. Just add Colon Plow a few minutes before you take them off the grill to make them sticky, sweet, hot and delicious. You'll fall in love with Colon Plow's unique and original flavor at first bite!

RODNEY'S RED DOG BBQ SWEET from GOSS HOT SAUCE.. The mixture of ingredients in this BBQ sauce is simply wonderful in the traditional style of BBQ sauces. Its bold without being overwhelming, smokey with a nice sweetness from honey, pineapple, brown sugar and molasses. The addition of spices are just perfect for grilling chicken, pork, shrimp, ribs or use as a dipping sauce. The sugar and honey caramelize to make a sticky sweet sensation you will love. This sauce is definitely finger licking good. What a fantastic flavor. This is definitely a winner for your barbecue. GET IT!!

RODNEY'S RED DOG BBQ TANGY from GOSS HOT SAUCE.. TANGY has more pepper flavor added to the mix from the addition of chipotle peppers, jalapeños and cayenne peppers. A little less sweet then RODNEY'S RED DOG BBQ SWEET but with a great stinging BBQ sauce flavor. You can smell the addition of the hot peppers as soon as you open the bottle. If you like the spicier side of barbecuing then this is the sauce for you. One again the sugar and honey caramelize up nicely on your chicken, ribs, pork of shrimp on the barbie! Pour it on and enjoy the flavor of Goss!
