THEIR STORYAfter growing up working in the restaurant business, and then 17 years in the beer industry, Founder Shark Gabe was ready for a change. He figured if he could take his two biggest passions, spicy food and sharks, and turn that into a career, it would be a pretty fun life. With some family recipes, and help from his family and friends, he took the summer of 2018 to put together the blueprints for The Spicy Shark. The feeding frenzy begins February 2019!
Why start a Hot Sauce company? To help answer that question, here’s my 30 second autobiography. I was born in Manhattan in 1979, and grew up in Oradell, New Jersey and Greenport, Long Island. I’m half Italian, half Croatian, and I have a younger sister.

I entered the Beer Business 1 week after graduating college, working for the Boston Beer Company for 17 years. My career eventually moved me to Portsmouth, NH in 2007 where I managed the company's Northern New England business.
After marrying and having a daughter, as a business necessity, I left the Beer Biz to run our family wedding venue in Norway, Maine that we had started in 2014, Granite Ridge Estate & Barn. But something was missing, I needed to turn up the heat...

THRESHER SHARK CHIPOTLE from THE SPICY SHARK.. This is for sure like no other chipotle hot sauce I've ever had before. Mild in heat and rich in flavor. Cold brew coffee is added to an array of ingredients from onions to banana on to tomatoes, garlic, peach, cocoa, vanilla and so much more. The list goes on and on, all added together to make a harmony of deliciousness that will find your taste buds swirling to try and figurer out what flavor will spring forward next. This sauce would pair with just about any food. Give this smokey treat a try.

TIGER SHARK GHOST PEPPER from THE SPICY SHARK.. The flavor of this sauce will jump out and put a smile on your face, then the heat will sneak up and bite you as it keeps getting hotter. The onion, bell pepper, vinegar is paired with pineapple, mango, banana a splash of lime and a hint of ginger, garlic and dijon mustard along with different spices and fruits. But the fire from this sauce is brought to you by the habanero and of course the ghost pepper. I love how the mustard hides in the background to insinuate the fruit flavors in this sauce. Poultry, pork, fish, beans and rice, any cajun dish or even use as a rub on your next bbq.

NURSE SHARK JALAPEÑO from THE SPICY SHARK.. A slightly sweet jalapeño, verde style sauce with flavor notes coming from cantaloupe, garlic, lemon and lime juice and a hint of ginger, mint and a nice punch of cilantro. What a perfect way to dress up your next tacos, nachos, eggs, chicken, potato salad, burritos and so much more. This even make a great dip for chips.

MEGALODON CAROLINA REAPER from THE SPICY SHARK.. You know the heat will keep rising when you see it has the Carolina Reaper pepper inside, and this will not disappoint! The many different flavors of ingredients in this sauce will definitely take you by surprise, from sour cherry juice to beets, molasses, avocado to hibiscus. You won't know which way to turn as you savor this sauce. With sweet to savory notes and flavors you're not likely to have pictured together before. This is one you'll definitely have to try. Use a steak sauce, on seafood, mix into your shrimp cocktail sauce, over rice or just pour it on any meal you need some heat. This will definitely do the trick.

ORIGINAL HOT SAUCE RECIPE from THE SPICY SHARK.. I can definitely see how this sauce started it all. Amazing flavor and the heat matches it wonderfully. This sauce has some of my favorite ingredients when it comes to hot sauces. Bell pepper, carrot, onion, apple, vinegar, habanero, lime juice, banana, garlic, ginger and more are added together to make this wonderful flavored sauce. This is a must try for sure. It has the type of flavor that would pair with almost any foods. Keep this right on your table because you'll be reaching for it that often.

SRIRACHA. SMOKED MAPLE from THE SPICY SHARK.. Let me start off by saying that I'm usually not a fan of Sriracha style sauces. BUT!!! not in this case! This one blew me away in both flavor and heat. The big difference in this sauce is the addition of maple syrup and a hint of smoke flavor. The ingredients in this sauce takes the fermented flavor of Sriracha and makes it more subtle and lends a nice sweet balance to its flavor. What an amazing Taste! You'll definitely what to have this on every meal, from breakfast, lunch, dinner and your late night snacks will never be the same with this amazing flavored hot sauce. FANTASTIC JOB!!!

WING SAUCE ORIGINAL RECIPE from THE SPICY SHARK.. Forget everything you know about traditional wing sauces. And open your mind to The Spicy Shark Wing Sauce. A wonderful mixtures of flavors that will set your mind reeling wondering what flavors your tasting. Onion, sunflower oil, bell pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic, a splash of maple syrup, red wine vinegar, jolokia pepper, scallions, lime, sugar, avocado, a dash of cilantro, celery and spices. This is incredible how such ingredients can come together to make such a flavorful wing sauce. But don't stop just at wings. This would make a great BBQ sauce, steak sauce, over fish and chips, vegetables and so so much more with a nice heat leave that binds with each drop.
